True Spooks … Share Your Ghost Story - The Blog Carnival
Happy Halloween! Welcome to the ‘True Spooks … Share Your Ghost Story’ Blog Carnival.
Do you believe in ghosts? Or do you think all strange occurrences can be explained by other means?
The following are true stories from fellow bloggers about encounters they had with what they feel to be ghostly presences.
Our first blog carnival entry comes from psychic medium Erin Pavlina. Erin, who is obviously no stranger to the paranormal, shares a scary experience she had as a teen in which both she and her brother encountered the same malicious entity.
Sognatrice, over at her delightful (and addictive) blog Bleeding Espresso, recounts several eerie episodes she has had, both growing up in the USA, and here in Italy.
Blue Skelton is a prolific blogger who tells us about his visit to a cemetery in Kansas that some folks chillingly describe as ‘one of the seven gateways to hell.’
Italiophile Deb, over at Piacere, has a written an article about Halloween in which she tells of a loving visit from the afterlife (as well as sharing a yummy recipe for roasted pumpkins seeds - one of my personal favorites this time of year!)
For my entry, I’ve included an account of some bizarre experiences I had while living in a house inhabited by a spirit affectionately known as ‘the goat lady.’
And lastly, I’m including another true story I posted 7 years ago on my private blog about strange occurrences in my childhood home. (For some reason, the livejournal database won’t lock all of my entries - a ghost in the machine, I suppose. And since one of the unlocked entries is this ghostly tale, I figured, ‘Why not?’)
So, what do you think?
- Did Erin and her brother really see the same spirit?
- Did Sognatrice have an entity in her closet?
- Is Stull Kansas a gateway to hell?
- Did Deb’s grandmother visit her for one last farewell?
- Did a kindly spirit actually change a lightbulb for me?
- What was I really hearing in the basement?
Let us know what you think. And feel free to share your own true tales of the unknown by either posting a link below, or writing about them in the comment box. I’d love to hear from you.
Once again, Happy Halloween, everybody! Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you enjoyed this issue.

Yo Tui - Happy Halloween from the Jet City! Thanks for hosting the entertaining stories - sorry I don’t have one of my own to share! MG
I have never seen a ghost but I believe in ghosts…I’ve had things “move” from one spot to another and I know I didn’t move them and no one else was in the house…but actually “seeing” one, never have. Spooky stories though!!
Happy Halloween!
Maybe Yes or No doesn’t cover it . . ..
Happy, happy!
@Mike G: Careful what you wish for!
@Cherie: I have had things ‘move’ too, it’s disconcerting.
